They have outside garden areas for enjoying their range of real ales on a sunny afternoon and have previously won the “Bassett in Bloom” award for the best beer garden.
As one of the traditional pubs in Wootton Bassett, The Five bells have 5 real ales (3 rotating guest ales) and host an extensive range of ciders, including draught and organic options. Their annual beer festival allows you the perfect opportunity to sample their range of fine ales, as featured in the CAMRA good beer guide. The beer festival coincides with the high street festival, in which the Five Bells have won the “best float” accolade for the past two years.

If you’re looking for pubs in Wootton Basset, to while away a cold winter afternoon the Five bells offers a large open fire and a separate snug area for playing darts and dominoes. One of the key features of the Five Bells is its, adherence to the traditional pub culture. They boast a lack of noisy electrical gadgets, such as jukeboxes and slot machines. Therefore, allowing you to enjoy yourself in a warm, socially driven atmosphere. They offer a traditional Sunday roast (FANTASTIC!) with all the trimmings served from 12.30 until 15.00 and Saturday brunch is served from 12.00 until 14.00, with dishes ranging from a fabulous home-made Scotch eggs to a full English breakfast. Evening meals are served on Wednesdays only from 6pm to 8pm. An array of homemade dishes is served each lunchtime from noon until 14.15 and Wednesday evenings, reservations can be taken in advance.
Based only four miles away from RAF Lyneham and a short hop to Swindon, as one of the best pubs in Wootton Bassett, it makes a fantastic location to meet up with friends and family.
Opening Times are Monday- Thursday 12.00 to 15.00, 17.00 to close.
Friday, Saturday and Sunday 12.00 to close.
